Anna Toneguzzo
Vice-President, External and Member Relations, Colleges and Institutes Canada
Anna Toneguzzo has been working at Colleges and Institutes Canada (CICan) for 30 years in the areas of public policy and international partnerships. Anna joined CICan to work on international programs that supported partnerships between Canadian colleges and institutes and TVET institutions in Africa and Latin America. Anna also oversaw national skills development, scholarship and internship programs administered by CICan and led on collaborative research studies about the college and institute system, including on college/institute applied research, Indigenous education, transferability and pathways and newcomer integration. In her current role, as Vice-President, External and Member Relations, Anna is responsible for government relations and policy to advance CICan advocacy priorities, member relations and communications.
Prior to joining CICan, Anna worked in international development consulting and delivered programs in West Africa funded through the Government of Canada and the United Nations Development Program. The focus of her Master of Education research from the University of Ottawa was on adult education and literacy in developing countries, with reference to adult education approaches used for disadvantaged groups in Canada.
