Ella Korets-Smith is an entrepreneur and business development executive with over 20+ years of experience in biotechnology, pharma and medica device industries. She is Co-Founder and Chief Strategy Officer of Virica Biotech, a revenue generating and scaling biomanufacturing tools company and has a strong track record of strategic planning and execution, relationship development and closing deals. Ella founded EKS Business Development, a consulting practice to support building biotechnology companies and has worked with many organizations including IMV Inc., Nordion Inc., and Antibe Therapeutics Inc. to drive fundraising and liquidity events. She has led successful marketing and business development teams and programs, resulting in annual sales of over $50M. Ella holds an MSc in Medical Genetics from the University of Toronto and an MBA from Dalhousie University.
