Fei is the co-founder and CEO of Liven, a startup transforming food and nutrition through sustainable, scalable bioactive peptides powered by precision fermentation. Prior to Liven, Fei was an environmental consultant at Ecometrix, where she introduced molecular biology tools to the energy and resource sectors, enhancing environmental decision-making and creating new revenue streams for the firm. Fei holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Toronto, where she translated her research on anaerobic benzene degradation into real-world remediation applications. Passionate about sustainability and biotechnology, Fei entered the food industry after recognizing the critical role food plays in both planetary and human health.
